Interim Mission Statement: First Baptist Church of Naples exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

 

Interim Vision Statement: First Baptist Church of Naples desires to be a church that makes disciples of Jesus Christ by (1) living out the gospel, (2) living in community, and (3) living on mission.

 

Expectation Statement: A disciple of Jesus Christ is one who gathers, grows, gives, and goes.

 

Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

 

There is one command in the text: Make disciples of all nations

 

There are three participles that show us how to obey the command: 1) going, 2) baptizing, 3) teaching

18And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
